Google Allo – Google’s entry into the smart chat app space: Allo was a smart messaging app that helped users say more and do more. With features like integrated Google assistant, Smart replies and the Machine learning tool Allo was a real force to reckon with. Allo also integrated stickers into chats and enabled users to create Chat groups with more than 1000 users. The inbuilt Assistant enabled the app to do much more than just chatting. One could preview videos, book restaurant tables, order movie tickets and a host of other fun activities all while still being on a chat.
We MediaWorks conceptualized, designed and executed the Influencer program as part of the overall launch campaign. The challenge was to create a walk through and journey based entirely on experiencing Allo’s key features. The audience comprised of social media influencers. As they were well travelled and had great exposure to experiential events globally, this made it harder for us to match or exceed expectations. WE successfully integrated the app in the evening activities right from briefing, engagements, Photo Ops and finally the party area.
WE even created mystery rooms environment for the audience and they were briefed on how to unlock puzzles using nothing else but Allo and its features. The winners after crossing various zones landed in the main show area, where they let their hair down and celebrated their victory, which was made possible by Allo.
